'End of the Weak' Mix #5

It's been a while... I haven't updated with an EotW mix in a while. To make up for it, today's "mix" has 9 tracks!

brought to you by joe jonas going full retard.

9. Lady GaGa - Alejandro (Demo) studio track from the album The Fame Monster

Yes... I'm fully aware that I hate on GaGa a lot but still listen to her music. Her music is good... her and her fans are not. With that said... I love Alejandro and I heard it on the radio recently and that made me fall back in love with it. I've always liked the demo version more tho. There is something really simplistic about it. It's not a major difference but you can still hear the difference. It doesn't seem quite polished... and yet it's still better than the studio version.

8. Rusko - Woo Boost from the album OMG

Rusko is a producer/remixer/dj that was born in England. His album OMG was released earlier this month.

He said he was working on some tracks for Queen Britney! That is exciting!

7. Mansions on the Moon - She Makes Me Feel from the forthcoming mixtape DJ Benzi and Diplo Mixtape

Mansions on the Moon is an up-and-coming electronic duo/band. It's a pretty good song. Very melodic and haunting... but in a good way.

6. Ke$ha - Dirty Picture (Part 2.) [feat. Taio Cruz] from the UK version of Animal

I also hate a lot on Ke$ha... well not that much. I don't really have beef... well I didn't have beef until homegirl wanted to talk about Queen Britney (considering her ass sang backup on "Lace and Leather" on Britney's album "Circus"). This song is basically a collaborative effort between Ke$ha and Taio Cruz. The song is on Taio's album but is on the UK rerelease of Ke$ha's album "Animal". THE COOL THING IS... instead of just tacking the same track on "Animal"... Ke$ha's version has most of the vocals by her... giving the song a more feminine touch than the original that just have bits and pieces of Ke$ha. Thus... "Part 2" of the song, if you will. Sound confusing? It's not that hard to get... I just tend to have a really hard time explaining things.

5. Diplo vs Tiësto - C'Mon

When Diplo tweeted about the Tiësto collaboration... I nearly shat myself with anticipation. I'm not as big of a fan of Tiësto as I am Diplo; however, I appreciate what Tiësto has done for dance/techno/trance music. The track is totally cool and it's really nice to hear Diplo venture into dance music.

4. Britney Spears - 3 (LA Riots Remix) original track from the album The Singles Collection w/ additional remixing done by LA Riots

I know... How many remixes of Britney's "3" have I posted? the answer is: the good ones. LA Riots did this song right. It's a really fun remix. My favorite part is the manipulated vocals. I'm a HUGE fan of remixes with manipulated vocals. It just makes me happy. The manipulated vocals come in at about 2:08. Love what LA Riots did with this. It's a lot better than most of the mixes that Jive released officially.

The remix can be streamed @ hypem.com

3. Kelis - Brave from the album Flesh Tones

It's not exactly fair for me to put two tracks produced by the same producers and sung by the same artist next to each other on my list. It just doesn't feel right to me... What's done is done, tho.

I was pleasantly surprised by Kelis' Flesh Tone. It's pretty good... Even if the next time I hear a David Guetta production I will shoot a sweet, innocent deer.

Benny Benassi produced "Brave" and it's fantastic.

2. Benny Bennassi - Spaceship (Extended Mix) [feat. Kelis, Apl.De.Ap & Jean Baptiste]

yes... a new Benny Benassi track that ISN'T "Satisfaction".

1. M.I.A. - XXXO from the forthcoming album /\/\/\Y/\

I'm so terribly obsessed with this song... I can't even explain why. It just makes me feel good. It's produced by Rusko & Blaqstarr.
